Queue Tree Configuration In Mikrotik Router

Queue Tree Configuration In Mikrotik Router, Queue Tree is a feature in MikroTik RouterOS that allows you to control and prioritize network traffic based on a variety of factors, such as IP address, protocol, port number, and more. Queue Tree can be used to set up bandwidth management and quality of service (QoS) policies to ensure that your network traffic is distributed fairly and efficiently.

To set up a Queue Tree in MikroTik RouterOS, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Winbox tool or connect to your MikroTik Router using the web interface.
  2. Go to the “Queue” menu and click on “Tree”.
  3. Click on the “Add” button to create a new Queue Tree.
  4. Set the name for your Queue Tree and choose the parent queue, which can be either “global” or a specific interface.
  5. Set the “Kind” parameter to “pcq” (Per Connection Queue), which is a MikroTik-specific algorithm that allows you to control traffic based on individual connections rather than just IP addresses or ports.
  6. Set the “Default” parameter to “yes” if you want all traffic to go through the Queue Tree by default.
  7. Choose the target address or subnet for your Queue Tree by specifying the IP range in the “Dst Address” field.
  8. Set the maximum download and upload speeds for your Queue Tree in the “Max Limit” field.
  9. Set the priority for your Queue Tree using the “Priority” parameter. The higher the value, the higher the priority.
  10. Click on “OK” to save your Queue Tree.

You can create multiple Queue Trees with different settings and priorities to control and manage your network traffic effectively.
